Controlled explosion takes place in Newport Pagnell

Thames Valley Police and the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) were called to make safe an incident at Newport Pagnell on Sunday (11/10/2020).

Ammunitions which were believed to be from World War II were found at a property in Chartwell Road, Newport Pagnell with TVP being called in at 1.45pm.

A controlled explosion took place in a nearby field with some residents having to temporarily be evacuated with the scene being declared safe just before 8pm.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience while the ammunition was made safe by our colleagues from EOD.
