Christmas is Coming to Town
Unfortunately there will be no Christmas Lights Switch On event this year, this was announced back in September by the Christmas Lights committee due to the uncertainty around Covid Restrictions at the time.
The Lights will still be switched on at some point towards the end of November with the annual raffle draw still taking place. The full statement can be found here:
Fear not because there are still plenty more festive events going on in the run up to Christmas and we’ve done our best to list them all here!!
26th November
Christmas Wreath Making with Jeannette Spiers
Join Jeannette Spiers at The Kings Arms for a glass of something nice and create your very own wreath for Christmas. Jeanette and team will guide us all with fresh foliage and bows to make the perfect Christmas Wreath.
Note that this is a paid event at £30 per person which includes everything you need to make a wreath.
27th November
Christmas Fair @ St Peter & St Paul’s Church
St Peter and St Pauls are holding their Christmas Fair event starting at 10:00 and ending around 15:00, just before things kick off over at The Kings Arms (see below).
Refreshments will be available all day with the following:
- Christmas Essentials Stalls (Gift bags, wrapping, cards)
- Bag a Bargain (Second hand books & puzzles)
- School Choirs (festive songs)
- Festive Tombola (A variety of Christmas goodies to be won)
- Chocolate Snap (just for children with all kinds of chocolate)
- Activities for Children (crafts and nativity trail)
- Raffle (Luxury gift hamper and other prizes)
- Homemade Cakes (tasty treats)
- Carol Singing (Starts at 15:00)
Christmas Special Event @ The Kings Arms
The Kings Arms are putting on their Special Christmas Event. Fun for all the family starting at 15:00 including:
- A number of local traders
- Olney Brass Band
- BBQ
- Mulled Wine
- Performance from Local Dance Groups and much more…
1st December
Kennington Close Christmas Lights Switch On
The Kennington Close Christmas lights display is back this year with switch on at dusk on Wednesday 1st December 2021! The lights will be on from dusk til late every night throughout December.
3rd December
Newport Pagnell Christmas Shopping Event
The Newport Pagnell Town Council are once again supporting the High Street by promoting the Newport Pagnell Shopping Event.
- 11:00 – Pop up shop (Arts and Crafts display) in United Reformed Church
- 11:30 – 19.30 – Farmers market & Festive Street Food
- 17.15 – 20:00 – Singer Helen Pearson outside the Dolphin
4th December
Newport Pagnell Christmas Shopping Event
The Town Council shopping event continues with:
- 10:00 – 14:00 Pop up shop in the United Reformed Church (home businesses)
Newport Pagnell Bowls Club Christmas Fayre
At 10:30 to 15:00 The Newport Pagnell Bowls Club are hosting a Christmas Fayre. Pop on down with friends and family to grab a bargain or have a mince pie!
Stalls and traders will be selling:
- Glass Ornaments
- Handcrafted Totes
- Christmas Handicrafts
- Prints and Canvasses
- Notebooks
- Keyrings
- Bracelets
- Homemade Cakes
A Tombola, Hot drinks and mince pies will also be available. Free entry.
Newport Pagnell Singers Carols and Brass
The Newport Pagnell Singers present the Carols and Brass Christmas Concert. Held at St Peter & St Paul’s Church at 19:00, this event will be a joyous evening of Carols and Festive favourites performed by the Newport Pagnell Singers group and the Bradwell Silver Band.
5th December
Christmas Sunday Run – Hash House Harriers Running Group
The running club, Milton Keynes Hash House Harriers (MKH3) are a drinking club with a running problem and are on the move on the 5th December for the annual Christmas Sunday Run.
Join them by walk, jog or run to suit everyone’s age and ability, but most importantly just have fun. Christmas dress up is fully encouraged be that a Christmas hat, Christmas jumper, tinsel baubles or whatever you have!
Start time will be 11:00 am from The Kings Arms Car Park
The Pub will also be serving food from 12:30.
Father Christmas Visits the Poets Estate
Father Christmas will be visiting the Poets Estate this year thanks to MK Watling Rotary in support of The Henry Allen Trust. There will be music so listen out! Donation Buckets will be helping Santa, or feel free to donate online here.

Christmas Coffee Morning @ The Mead Centre
Get a change to look around the nearly finished Mead Centre at the next Christmas Coffee Morning from 10:00 – 14:00.

Christmas Carol Night with Tickford Park Primary School @ The Kings Arms
Join The King’s Arms and Tickford Primary School for some wonderful Carols and an evening of fun. All welcome to watch the little ones perform and hopefully Father Christmas will make time to visit!
