Police issue statement after High Street stabbing

Thames Valley Police have arrested a 21-year old man on suspicion of attempted murder after an incident occurred in Newport Pagnell High Street on Saturday (12-03-2022) evening at 21:00.

The Police arrived after receiving reports that a man aged in his 60s had sustained stab wounds and suffered serious but not life threatening injuries contrary to inaccurate reports that a man had died promoting a statement from TVP.

Officers attended the scene, where a 21-year old was detained, who had also sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The incident is still under investigation by Thames Valley.
