Joan Sidebottom

I have been a resident of Newport Pagnell for 36 years living at the same address, am married and have two children and one grandchild.

I am retired and during my working life I ran my own retail outlet in central Milton Keynes for 14 years and for the last twelve years of my working life I worked for the Open University as a Training Centre Co-ordinator.

Until very recently I was Chairman of the Friends of Willen Hospice for 5 years and am still very involved in fund raising for Willen.

I have been a Town Councillor for the past 14 years and served four years as Deputy Mayor and two years as Mayor. I am currently serving on the Property Management committee on the Council also Planning and Highways committee as well as being Chairman of the Allotments committee and Show Secretary for the Town Council Horticultural Show.

I represent the Town council on a number of Outside bodies within the town, Christmas Lights, Neighbourhood Action group, Townlands Charity, Newport Pagnell Partnership. I am also a Governor at Portfields School.
